Vuokatti

Vuokatti is located near the Russian border, in the Oulu region, it is 40 kilometers from Kajaani, where there is an airport and a railway station.

The highest hill is 345 m above sea level.
The Vuokatti resort is a great place for beginners and experts of skiing alike.
The highest horizontal drop is 170 m. The highest vertical drop is 1100 meters. Vuokatti has 12 slopes (four of which are floodlit), one is for snowboarding.

The season begins in November and ends in April.

There is entertainment the whole year: in winter - safaris, hiking, dog sledding safaris, winter fishing, and in summer: horseback riding, fishing and many other services offered by the Vuokatti resort. But this resort is a special one, because here people can ski even in the summer. There is a unique underground ski tunnel which is 1250 m long. The temperature in the tunnel is always -5-9 degrees. There are 150 km of cross-country skiing tracks.

Cottages, which are located on the shores of lakes, are very popular places for tourists. A cozy modern equipped cottage with a sauna is a dream for tired tourists.

The largest SPA complex "Katinkulta" is not far from the centre of the resort. It is a real tropic island with palms, waterfalls and hills, among the winter and snow!
