Kalajoki
Kalajoki is located in the province of Oulu, 131 kilometers from Oulu.
Population: 9 500 inhabitants.
Area: 1741.5 km², 1069.24 - water
Kalajoki is old area of Finland. It was first mentioned in documents in the 16th century. By the 19th century, it was a tar trade centre. Kalajoki received its Town Charter in 2002.
Nowadays the city is known as a centre for tourism, due to its sandy islands, which are extended 3.5 km. There is an attraction park which includes an aqua park , line "Formula" many activities for children and adults, an SPA complex "SaniFunny", a well equipped camping facility, golf fields, hotels and restaurants.
